Things to Know About Getting Your Vehicle Repaired

  1. Some insurance companies may want you to have the vehicle inspected at their drive-in claims center. You may choose to do this, however it’s beneficial to have the insurance company inspect your vehicle at the body shop that will be performing the repairs. This will aid in the shop to better negotiate the repair process with the adjuster.
  2. You have the right to go to the repair shop of your choice. By law your insurance company cannot require you to go to a particular shop.
  3. If you feel your vehicle is unsafe to drive, contact Adrian Auto Body and we can arrange a tow and get you into a rental vehicle immediately.
  4. Having your vehicle repaired professionally will retain its value and more importantly ensure your safety.
  5. You are not required by law to obtain more than one estimate or appraisal.
  6. Choose a shop that has uni-body repair equipment and certified (by I –CAR or ASE, for example) technicians.
  7. Ask if the shop offers a lifetime warranty.
  8. Differences in repair estimates are common.  A lower estimate may not include all necessary work. If you’re not sure why one estimate is different from another you’ve received, please ask us.
  9. It is important that you choose a repair facility that is well established and backed by multiple insurance companies.
